Considered a cult classic by rock fans and critics alike, Fugazi’s Repeater is a satisfying blend of jam sessions and cleanly edited recordings, resulting in a noisy masterpiece of hard-core bliss.

The album, masked by its loud mixing, lyrically infuses death, drug use, and alcohol abuse into its intoxicating verses and hooks. It was the group’s first true full-length LP, as they had previously only released 3 EPs and a compilation of the first two.

Repeater’s musical repertoire includes complex solos and guitar/rhythm sections that would be an influence on rock’s landscape in the years following the albums release.

The album has been featured on several “best of” lists, including a rank by Treble magazine as the eighth-best album of 1990.
