Duke

The tenth studio album by English rock band Genesis was released in March in 1980. It was the first album by the group to reach No. 1 in the UK charts and featured the singles “Turn It On Again”, “Duchess”, and “Misunderstanding”.

Duke marked a major turning point for the group, as it was the first time that they were able to successfully generate major hit singles; despite this, there are still traces of their early progressive rock modes on the record. It was, in effect, one of their last LPs to not consist entirely of pop or pop-influenced pieces.
