The Great Milenko

Insane Clown Posse

About “The Great Milenko”

The Great Milenko is the fourth full length LP and “4th Joker’s Card” by ICP under the Insane Clown Posse moniker.

It was originally released on June 24, 1997 by Hollywood Records. As conditions for release, the parent company of Hollywood–The Walt Disney Company–forced ICP to change several lyrics and even remove three songs altogether.

The album was pulled off of shelves a mere 6 hours after release due to controversy surrounding the parent company Disney. Approximately 17,000 copies were sold in the few hours it was available.

Island Records re-released the record on August 12, 1997 in the entire original format. By the end of the following year it was certified Platinum!

“The Great Milenko” Q&A

  • Why is the album red? On spotify it’s green so i’m just wondering.

The Great Milenko was originally released on CD with four different colored variants (red, green, purple, and yellow). The red variant of the album artwork seems to be the most commonly-used and is what the digital download of the album from Insane Clown Posse’s website uses.
