Streets is Watching

An accompaniment to the movie of the same name, released in 1998 it was Dame Dash and Roc-A-Fella’s first foray into the world of film.

The soundtrack featured guest spots from Memphis Bleek, N.O.R.E., Sauce Money, Ja Rule and DMX. Jay has 7 tracks on the record, and the single “It’s Alright” was released in April 1998, with a video accompaniment.

The soundtrack is credited with helping Ja Rule attain a level of fame he hadn’t yet experienced, and served to expose Roc artists such as Bleek and Christion to the mainstream audience Jay had accrued prior to his major release Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life.
