1994’s Brave is Marillion’s seventh studio album, and their grand return to progressive rock after two albums of trying out a more pop-rock sound.
This album is a rock opera which tells the story of a suicidal young woman and her struggles with connection and alienation in a cold, uncaring reality.
It was the band’s most successful album since Steve Hogarth took over as the band’s front man, peaking at #10 on the British album charts, and remained so until 2016, when their album F.E.A.R reached #4.
