About “Ghetto D”

Encapsulating the legendary late-90’s time period for Master P’s very own No Limit Records, Ghetto D (short for Ghetto Dope) serves as a reminder that P and his label once had the rap game in a chokehold. Almost the entire original No Limit roster comes out to play, with rappers like Mystikal, Silkk the Shocker, Mia X, C-Murder, and of course Master P himself all making appearances. The album showcases southern hip-hop, blending gangsta rap with traditional down-south techniques.

Ghetto D debuted on top of the Billboard 200, selling a whopping 761,000 copies in its first week of sales. This is largely due to the strength of the album’s two primary singles: the club-sex anthem “Make ‘Em Say Uhhh!” and the R&B-infused “I Miss My Homies.” The album has now since been certified 3x Platinum.
