In the Afternoon

MGMT5 is predicted to be released in 2020 according to the song’s previews in the last two shows in 2019.

On December 10th, a little snippet of “In The Afternoon” was posted on MGMT’s Instagram, and on December 12th the full song was released.

This album is clearly inspired by the sounds of bands like Fleetwood Mac and The Cure,
two bands that Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser admire and take inspiration from which can be seen in the two songs released so far.
