About “Against All Odds”

Against All Odds is N-Dubz’s sophomore album and the follow up to November 2008’s Uncle B. The album peaked at #6 in the UK, and #39 in Ireland, and #12 in Greece. The album is also certified platinum in the UK.

Fazer and Tulisa revealed to BBC Radio that their former manager—and Dappy’s father—wanted their first album to be entitled Against All Odds. However, after his death, they decided to rename it to Uncle B as a tribute to him and later named their second album AAA. This is also stated in the album booklet for the album. After the release of Uncle B, Tulisa spoke about Against All Odds when it was in the beginning stages, telling Daily Star:

We’ve just taken a quick break. We’re having fun and the album is sounding good. We normally work till 5am—I come alive at midnight, like a vampire.

Against All Odds was preceded by “I Need You”—which peaked at #5 in the UK. “Playing With Fire,” which featured fellow UK artist Mr. Hudson, and “Say It’s Over” were released as the final two singles from the album, peaking at #14 and #20 respectively.
