“Satellite Rides” was recorded at Willie Nelson’s ranch in the Hill Country. According to Rhett, the original working title for this album was “Hooray For Love” but he and Murry could not agree on the spelling of “Hooray” (or “Hurray”) so they named it after a lyric in one of Murry’s songs, “In the Satellite Rides a Star,” which appears on a later album, Drag It Up.
