Anime, Trauma and Divorce

Anime, Trauma and Divorce is Los Angeles-based MC Open Mike Eagle’s seventh full length album, released on October 16th, 2020 and preceded by the singles “The Edge Of New Clothes,” “Bucciarati” and “I’m a Joestar (Black Power Fantasy)”.

The album has been reportedly conceived as Mike’s own way to cope with the worst year of his life, as it tackles a range of the artist’s struggles in the latest years, such as his separation from his wife, the cancellation of his Comedy Central Show The New Negroes and the discomfort and trauma he experienced while trying to deal with these upheavals in his everyday life.
