Distractions EP

In a December 2017 interview with Vocalo, ProbCause described the Distractions EP to be a turning point in his writing, reflecting a newfound personal and lyrical maturity. He wrote the following description for the Distractions EP SoundCloud playlist:

I present to you my brand new EP Distractions! I’ve been working on this project in conjunction with a brand new series of EP’s set to drop in 2018. I created this EP with a handful of incredible musicians and artists that I’m honored to call my friends including Griz, Cobrayama, Chris Karns, Drew Mantia, Lembo, Carlile, Kris Hansen and Jameson Brenner! Thank you to everyone for their contributions and THANK YOU for Listening!

Dancing Astronaut also quotes ProbCause as saying the following:

‘Distractions’ is in a lot of ways a response to our current state with big media, particularly our obsession with news, social media, technology, etc. But the EP also parallels my personal life — trying to stay focused on the right things and not being distracted by toxic thoughts and people. I think most people deal with the same dance in their own life of trying to stay on track with their personal goals or aspirations, but everyone has distractions that pull their attention in different directions.
