About “Max Out”

Even in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, RBE still managed to welcome back big-room battle rap in a major way with Max Out. Held at the Believe Music Hall in Atlanta, Georgia on April 3, 2021, in front of 1,500 people, this event was primarily notable for its hot-topic main event matchup between battle rap veteran Hitman Holla and hitmaking recording artist Cassidy. While many fans and bloggers initially predicted an easy victory for Hitman, when it was all over, the Culture could not stop talking about how much Cassidy had improved in the ring after previously losing to Goodz and Arsonal on URL – and how he pulled off an upset victory over Hitman.

There were seven matchups on the card:
Jay Breed vs. Delvo (1SK battle)
Super Black vs. Jay Lopez (1SK battle)
Rosenberg Raw vs. Showoff
Ill Will vs. A. Ward
O-Red vs. JAG
Bigg K vs. Clone (taken on one week’s prep)*
Cassidy vs. Hitman Holla (Headliner)

*Bigg K was originally announced to battle Serius Jones on this card. Initially, it was thought that Serius backed out of the battle due to not being able to travel because of his parole conditions (due to serving time in prison for human trafficking). However, it was later revealed that Serius backed out to compete in URL’s Ultimate Madness 3 tournament on April 24, 2021. Because of this, Bullpen Battle League rapper Clone replaced Serius to battle Bigg K on one week’s prep time. After the event, RBE league owner ARP later made a scathing blog exposing Serius – whom he derogatorily referred to as “Cartoon Jones” – for the lies that he told regarding what went down behind the scenes at Max Out.
