JOHNNY

JOHNNY is a 5 track EP by painter-turned-rapper Rob Roy. It arrived after a prolonged creative absence, on August 17th, 2016. Combining Jungian mysticism with an affinity for DJ Screw and experimental production, JOHNNY featured a more aggressive delivery from Roy. A cover of Bootsy Collins' 1976 “Vanish In Our Sleep” was a highlight, earning spins on KCRW and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM.

The EP title was derived from the Everyman archetype.
