Honey

About “Honey”

Honey is the eighth studio album by Robyn. It was released on October 28, 2018 under Interscope and Robyn’s own label Konichiwa Records. It marks her first solo album in eight years, following the release of Body Talk on 2010.

Robyn began working on Honey in 2015 after the death of her close friend and collaborator Christian Falk and going through a breakup. The record includes collaborations with Joseph Mount of Metronomy, frequent co-producer and co-writer Klas Åhlund, Mr. Tophat and Konichiwa Records signee Zhala.

Honey maintains Robyn’s characteristic sentimental pop essence, while introducing heavier experimental dance and disco influences. Upon its release, Honey received universal acclaim from music critics, many applauding the album’s refreshing innovative sound and emotional nature while praising Robyn’s conviction and warmth as a singer, songwriter and producer.
