About “Frequencies”

From 2016, SebastiAn has soundtracked runway shows for the French fashion label “Yves Saint Laurent”, taking samples from his previous works and mashing them up with original pieces of music (most of which are seeminly absent from these new versions) to create 10 minute art pieces to complement the new clothing on display.

The music created for these displays have been highly sought after by fans, and many got their wish as long requested samples from these shows eventually found their way onto the artist’s second album, Thirst.

These runway soundtracks were finally announced for release on June 21st, 2021 through SebastiAn’s Instagram page, part of YSL’s “Rive Droite – Frequencies” promotion, albiet only on vinyl and for 80 Euros per song.

The “album” (which was actually just 11 singles) did eventually get a digital release on July 1st, 2021.
