About “Big Draco”

Big Draco is the ninth studio album by American rapper Soulja Boy. It was released on July 28, 2021, his 31st birthday, through his independent record label SODMG. Originally named Draco or Draco: The Album, it was initially announced on January 18, 2017 and planned to be released on February 21, 2017; instead, his commercial mixtape Big Soulja was released on that day.

Despite this, the project was not scrapped. Soulja Boy continued to release songs in 2017 that would have been included on it, such as “In My Polo” and “Karate”. Again, the project never materialized, and Soulja Boy would not release music for the rest of the year.

On April 10, 2019, two years after the initial announcement, Soulja Boy released two songs: the Purp Dogg-produced “No Cap” and the Marvin Cruz-produced “Malibu”. This showed that he, yet again, did not entirely scrap the project. It was slated for a release on April 20, 2019, but due to his arrest a day after dropping the two songs and secondary hiatus, this never happened.

In May 2021, a new release date surfaced for July 28, which was Soulja Boy’s 31st birthday.

On July 18th, 2021, Soulja Boy revealed the official tracklist of the album, while also announcing an official pre-order of the album, through Apple Music and iTunes.
