Perhaps the most famous of the many collections of ‘50s and early '60s singles released in the 1970s, the American Graffiti soundtrack was an enormous success, going platinum several times over. It includes a wealth of well known songs from rock 'n’ roll’s earliest era of popularity, and has received critical acclaim in the decades since its release, often cited as the definitive set of early R&B and doo-wop tracks. Like the Cruisin' series (whose records collectively contain many tracks included on this album) this features several introductions by a famous DJ, here Wolfman Jack.
