“7000 Riff” is a Norwegian compilation album, consisting of songs by bands in the scene surrounding Hard Rock Kafé club (no relation to the restaurant) in Trondheim in the late ‘70s.
The record was made to help document and promote these up-and-coming local artists, and is considered one of the first full-length punk and new wave LPs of the country. As such, it cemented the Trondheim punk scene into music history, and helped punk become one of the biggest genres in early ‘80s Norway.
