American Pop (Music From the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

This is the soundtrack to Ralph Bakshi’s 1981 animated film about four generations of a Russian Jewish family of American immigrants whose history mirrors the history of American pop music. Though the film features about 50 songs going back to 1890, the album only contains 10 songs, most of them from the mid-1950s to the 1970s.
