Barbie The Album Tracklist
Barbie The Album is the soundtrack for the fantasy live-action film Barbie directed by Gerta Gerwig which hit theatres July 21, 2023.
The soundtrack, executively produced by Mark Ronson, was first announced in April 2023, where it was reported by The Daily Mail that Dua Lipa would record the main theme song for the movie, with rumors suggesting she recorded several more songs.
On May 22, 2023, Dua Lipa announced that the first song of the soundtrack, “Dance The Night,” would release on May 26, 2023. Four more songs were released prior to the movie, in June, with KAROL G releasing “WATATI,” PinkPantheress releasing “Angel,” Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj releasing “Barbie World,” and Charli XCX releasing “Speed Drive.”
Most of the features for the album were revealed on May 25, 2023, with more yet “to be announced.”
On July 6, 2023, it was revealed that the first mystery artist was Billie Eilish, who released “What Was I Made For?” on July 13, 2023. Four days later on July 10th, it was revealed that Sam Smith was the final mystery artists, with their song “Man I Am” releasing with the full soundtrack on July 21.
