Cooley High (Original Soundtrack)

This is the soundtrack for the 1975 drama set at a largely African-American high school, which was made at a time when such films were rare. The album is filled with Motown hits from years past. The film was a formative influence on Boyz II Men and inspired the title of their hit album Cooleyhighharmony as well as their cover version of “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.”
