Dear Evan Hansen (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Adapted from the hit Tony Award®-Winning Broadway musical and album of the same name, Dear Evan Hansen officially makes its way to the screen via Hollywood. The film features the titular star of the Broadway production, Ben Platt, as well as a new cast for the rest of the film’s characters, including Kaitlyn Dever as Zoe Murphy, Amandla Stenberg as Alana Beck, Amy Adams as Cynthia Murphy, and Julianne Moore as Heidi Hansen. The film will feature new recordings of the already-popular songs written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul in addition to a new song for the character of Alana Beck that is exclusive to the film.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic of 2020, the film’s production was brought to a halt. While the film and its presumed soundtrack do not yet have a release date, principal photography is expected to resume in the final months of 2020.
