Glory Revealed II: The Word of God in Worship

This album is second in the Glory Revealed series produced by Mac Powell. Many of the song titles are accompanied by scriptural references from which the lyrics are drawn. Similar to the first album in the series, it also won the Dove Award in 2010 for Special Event Album of the Year.

After the first Glory Revealed album in 2007, participating musicians did a tour, and the energy from that tour was what led to the second album in the series. Rather than being in a studio, producer Mac Powell got the singers and musicians together for a retreat at a cabin (formerly a three-story grain silo) in the south Georgia woods for a week in June 2008. There, the musicians lived, studied scripture, prayed, wrote songs collaboratively, and recorded music together. The result is the live performance feel and energy that Powell wanted to capture. Some of the guest artist vocal tracks were recorded elsewhere for those who wanted to contribute to the project but were unable to participate in the retreat (for example, Jason Crabb, Brandon Heath, Matt Maher, and Bear Rinehart).
