Humo’s Rock Rally 1982

The album Humo’s Rock Rally 1982 summarizes the finals of Humo (a Belgian rock magazine) its contest for up-and-coming Belgian rock acts. The third edition of the biannual contest saw the break-through of notable Flemish bands 2 Belgen and Aroma di Amore. The event was held and recorded in Ancienne Belgique, with The Chrome finishing in first, followed by 2 Belgen and 5 CV.

Playing in the finals were:

- The Boxcars – After Hours
- Automatic Heat – Outside
- Gruppenbild – Maatschappij
- Chant – In Remembrance
- 5 CV – New Dementia (third place)
- 2 Belgen – Fever (runner-up)
- The Crew – Put Out The Light
- De Combi’s – You Don’t Need Me Anymore
- Aroma di Amore – Doe De Maffia
- The Rotor – Back On Sunday
- Blanc de Blanc – Cynic(al) Grin

Almost all bands got a record deal of some sort and produced at least a single after their performance at the Rock Rally, excluding Automatic Heat, Chant and De Combi’s.
