It was confirmed on January 13, 2020, that John Debney would score the biopic I Still Believe. Named after the song of the same name, the film follows Christian singer-songwriter Jeremy Camp as he experiences love and loss with his now late wife Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp when he proposed and married her despite knowing she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
This is one of the first times a big name composer has scored a Christian film. Other examples include Lorne Balfe, Lisa Gerrard, and Hans Zimmer scoring Son of God (2014) and David Arnold scoring Amazing Grace (2006).
