About “Live Stiffs”

After a period of rehearsal, five bands went out on the road to do a live show package (“Bunch of Stiffs”) and record an album along the way. The tour lasted from October 3rd to November 5th, 1977, and was captured in the documentary “If It Ain’t Stiff, It Ain’t Worth a F-”.

That live album was released on February 17, 1978 as “Live Stiffs Live” by Stiff, and then again simply as “Live Stiffs” by Music for Pleasure. The date of MFP’s release is unclear – it’s listed in various places as 1978 and 1979, and the album itself only shows two dates, 1977 (on Side 2), and 1978 (on Side 1). 1979 is probably a reasonable guess.
