On My Block: Season 1 (Soundtrack)

This is the unofficial soundtrack from the first season of the Netflix original series, On My Block. The first season was released on March 16th, 2018, and was succeeded by two more seasons. The soundtrack contains music inspired by or created specifically for the show.

In the show’s first season, one of the main characters, Ceaser, is trapped in the gang life of the Santos while his friends Monse, Ruby, and Jamal attempt to get him out of the gang.

Most of the music included in the show generally has a theme of getting out of a bad situation. Some of the songs from the soundtrack were created specifically for the show like the song “Bottle Rocket” by Kovas, Domo Genesis, and Amber Ojeda, while others like “Glitter“ by 070 Shake, have a significance to the theme of the show.

Songs such as “Estupido,” “Boss,” and “Xtras” were used during scenes that pertained to gang-related activities.
