Our Little Corner of the World: Music from Gilmore Girls

Our Little Corner of the World is the soundtrack album for the hit WB TV show, Gilmore Girls, released to coincide with the premiere of the third season. The album itself is made up of some songs featured on the show, some of the show’s musical cues, and its theme song, as well as some other songs never featured on the show (but presumably the sort of music Lorelai and Rory, the two main characters, would listen to.)

The title of the album is taken from the final track of the album, “Our Little Corner of the World” by Yo La Tengo. The one word change – from “my” to “our” – likely refers to the fact that the show revolves around the mother/daughter duo of Lorelai and Rory and their little eclectic world of Stars Hallow, Connecticut.
