Rock & Rule: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Rock & Rule was a 1982/1983 Canadian animated musical science fantasy film which featured songs by groups such as Cheap Trick, Debbie Harry, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop.

Though the official soundtrack never saw a commercial release, a promotional cassette featuring full versions of 9 songs featured in the movie was sent to members of the press in 1986 to promote the film’s American release.

The complete soundtrack is considered a piece of lost media, though fan restorations based on low-quality rips of the promotional tape are ongoing.
