Rushmore (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

This is the soundtrack album for Wes Anderson’s 1998 comedy about a precocious high-school misfit (Jason Schwartzman) who finds himself at odds with his mentor (Bill Murray) for the heart of a schoolteacher (Olivia WIlliams). Originally, the director intended the entire film to be scored by songs by the Kinks, but only one remains in the finished soundtrack.
