The Singing Detective (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

This is the soundtrack album for the 2003 American film adaptation of the British TV series, which stars Robert Downey Jr. as a crime fiction novelist whose new detective plot overlaps with his life as he’s recovering in the hospital from psoriasis. This film was made after the death of Dennis Potter, the creator of the original TV show, but he specified that he wanted American songs for a possible remake rather than the British songs that were on the TV miniseries' soundtrack.
