Till the Clouds Roll By (1946 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

One of the first film soundtrack albums to be released concurrently with the movie it was attached to, this is the album of Richard Whorf’s 1946 musical biopic of composer Jerome Kern, who had died the year before. With limited space on the disc, the album omitted many songs that were in the film, but still sold well enough to convince MGM to continue the practice of selling soundtrack albums as souvenirs of films.
