Weezer’s Everything Will Be Alright In The End is a conscious back-to-basics effort produced by Ric Ocasek (The Cars), who produced their debut self-titled as well as their second self-titled record. On the album, Rivers Cuomo and company explore the themes of family, love, and death through songs about aging rockstars, ineffable cosmic muses, and rediscovering identity. The record has been perceived by some to be a loveletter to longtime Weezer fans and a concerted effort by the band was made to appeal to them by channeling a “classic Weezer” sound, which included the recruitment of Ocasek.
