About “Magnification”

The first orchestral album by Yes since 1970’s “Time and a Word”, Magnification is the last album to feature Jon Anderson on lead vocals. It is also the first album to not feature a keyboardist. This is why they decided to make an orchestral album. Almost immediately after the album was released, two things happened. 9/11, and Rick Wakeman rejoined the band. This is why he is included on live albums from 2002-2008, such as Live in Montreux.
