Since this is the sequel for “Undying Love”, Nas is now dead. The angel is now coming down and he is learning it´s name was Nas (himself). Is he coming down to earth again to become the prophet that he is in the album Nastradamus? Just like Jesus AKA God’s Son arose from the dead on the third day. It certainly wouldn´t be the first nor last time he would take on one of Jesus of “Nazareth´s” many monikers/personas.

Continuing the Jay Z references with a pun on his song Takeover which was Jay Z plan of takeing over the rap game, but hit an unexpected bump.

She doesn´t need to make a takeover record since she is already at the top.

Referencing Kayne West’s latest album Yeezus, of which many tracks have somewhat dark themes.

“So I'mma spazz” likely refers to the aggressiveness of Yeezus' tracks – in particular when he gets his scream on in Black Skinhead and, even more so , in I Am a God.

Two Lauryn Hill references, The first one is where she explains again that she isn´t the new Lauryn Hill. The second is “you just lost one” (“Lost Ones” is a song from Lauryn Hills critically and commercially hailed debut album: Miseducation of Lauryn Hill). The hook goes:

You might win some but you just lost one

He (Wyclef Jean) might attract some girls in the future, but the reality is that he’s lost the best girl he’ll ever get.

Therefore, when Rapsody leaves you, you will be in the same situation as Wyclef. So technically she is a bit like Ms Hill.

The story of Blood Diamonds, which Sierra Leone is famous for, is a tragic story. In order to make it cheaper to harvest the diamonds people are being used as slaves and the diamonds are often mined in war zones. Hollywood have made a good movie about it with the same name.

Kanye West also shed some light upon the situation with a whole song dedicated to it named: Diamonds of Sierra Leone and the Remix.

Though it’s thousands of miles away
Sierra Leone connects to what we go through today
Over here it’s a drug trade, we die from drugs
Over there they die from what we buy from drugs

It´s a moral conflict you want to look good but people are getting killed over it so is it worth it?shouldn´t we boycott it?

And here’s the conflict:
It’s in a black person soul to rock that gold
Spend your whole life trying to get that ice
On a Polo rugby, it looks so nice
How can something so wrong make me feel so right?

Nas is showing us the general perspective/answer we’ll do it someday but for now, they still suffer.

This line was sampled for the intro to Sierra Leone / Greedy Ho’s later on in the album.

In the mid 90s, Tha Dogg Pound had beef with Capone-N-Noreaga and other New York artists. During this beef, they released the song “New York, New York,” featuring Snoop Dogg. In the music video, Snoop is seen stomping on buildings throughout NYC.

Murda feels like Kendrick Lamar is getting disrespectful because no one stood up to Snoop when he did the same in ‘95.
