@JoshuaDWelbel They wrote this annotation in the year 2013 (possibly ‘12, but pretty sure '13), and were saying that Doc Ock was bringing rap 987 years into the future FROM THE TIME THEY WROTE THE ANNOTATION – likely because they were stoned and forgot that just because they were LISTENING to this song in the year 2013, that doesn’t mean it came out in 2013….or maybe they’re just a goofus and are bad at articulating themselves. Either way 2,013 plus 987 equals 3,000. So that’s where their “987 years into the future” came from.

I’m so glad to have finally given you the answer to this question that has no doubt been driving you insane for the past 6 years straight. Happy to help and give you a little shot of nostalgia for wherever you were in life circa 2015 when you wrote this comment! ^-^

(Though I guess you could’ve possibly written it in 2014 tho, depending on what month it was when you wrote it….I mean, it says 6 years ago right now but tomorrow it could wind up rolling over to 7 years ago…but as of right now it says 6 years ago, so 2015 is what I’m gonna go with yaaaaaay!)

the song came out in ‘96, so, 1004 is the number of years between when it was released and the year 3000. I don’t know where you got 987
