Schweller ist ein Bereich der selbsttragenden Karosserie und zieht sich entlang der Einstiegsleiste in dem Bereich zwischen den beiden Radkästen an der Längsseite eines Fahrzeugs.
Im Tuningbereich werden zusätzliche Schweller an den Seiten (“Seitenschweller”) montiert, was primär Aerodynamik und Optik zugute kommt, nicht zuletzt aber auch der Korrusion (Spritzwasser) an der Seite vorbeugen kann.

Renault ist ein französischer Automobilhersteller. Nach der strategischen Allianz zwischen Renault und Nissan im Frühjahr 1999 ist Renault-Nissan einer der größten Automobilhersteller der Welt. Reliant war ein englischer Automobilhersteller, der von 1935 bis 2001 existierte.
Die Firma wurde in Tamworth (Staffordshire) gegründet und produzierte mehr als 65 Jahre lang überwiegend Dreiradfahrzeuge. Die Erfahrung in der Herstellung von Kunststoffkarosserien in Kompositbauweise ließ die Firma auch zu einem wichtigen Zulieferer verschiedener anderer Automobilhersteller werden. 2001 gab Reliant die Fahrzeugproduktion auf. In ihrem Firmensitz in Cannock ist die Firma seither als Importeur tätig.

Regensensoren finden sich heutzutage in beinahe jedem neuen Auto. Sie erkennen Niederschlag sowie dessen Menge und steuern abhängig von den ausgewerteten Daten den Scheibenwischer des Fahrzeugs.
Innerhalb eines Regensensors befinden sich eine LED und eine Fotodiode. Die LED ist so installiert, dass das von ihr ausgesendete (meist infrarote) Licht an der Scheibe reflektiert wird. Bei trockener Scheibe empfängt die Fotodiode den gesamten Lichtstrahl. Befindet sich Wasser auf der Windschutzscheibe, verändert sich das Reflexionsverhalten des Lichts: der Strahl wird durch den Niederschlag gebrochen – weniger Licht gelangt zur Fotodiode. Nun reagiert die Elektronik des Regensensors und aktiviert oder beschleunigt den Scheibenwischer.
Zudem ist es dem Regensensor möglich, das Abblendlicht einzuschalten oder Fenster schließen.
