Pontiac war eine Automarke des US-amerikanischen Automobilkonzerns General Motors. Traditionell wurden unter dieser Bezeichnung sportliche Fahrzeuge im mittleren Preissegment hergestellt, die vor allem jüngere Kunden ansprechen sollten. Nach dem Konkurs von General Motors im Jahre 2009 und der damit verbundenen Umstrukturierung des Modellprogramms des Konzerns wurde die traditionsreiche Marke „Pontiac“ Ende des Jahres 2010 aufgegeben.

Die Pagani Automobili S.p.A. ist ein im norditalienischen San Cesario sul Panaro nahe Modena beheimateter Kleinserienhersteller von Sportwagen. Die Firma wurde 1992 von dem Argentinier Horacio Pagani gegründet, der zuvor bei Lamborghini als Carbonverarbeitungsspezialist und auch bei Ferrari gearbeitet hatte.

Unter dem Begriff Öko-Autos versteht man nicht nur Elektroautos oder Fahrzeuge mit alternativen Antriebstechnologien wie Autogas (LPG), Erdgas (CNG), Hybrid, Brennstoffzelle, Wasserstoff oder Biogas. Neben den klassichen Stromern, zählen auch Spritsparer und Fahrzeuge mit einem niedrigen CO2-Ausstoß zur Gruppe der Öko-Autos.
Momentan ist noch kein wirklicher Trend zum Öko-Auto erkennbar – was zum Teil auch an dem relativ hohen Anschaffungskosten liegt. Mit dem Opel Ampera wid auf der IAA 2011 in Frankfurt der erste serienreife Elektro-Opel vorgestellt.

Offroadreifen sind für Fahrten abseits befestigter Wege besonders geeignet, müssen gleichzeitig aber auch gute Leistungen auf der Straße, mitunter bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten, bieten. Offroadreifen verfügen meist über eine M+S-Kennung, was sie aber keineswegs als geeignete Winterreifen ausweist.
