#Triple Entendre

  • Robb will shoot you with a 40 caliber handgun, leaving you in a wheel chair paralyzed or seriously injured. Afterwords he make you think to yourself “Nothing was the same” in a sense that you will probably have to deal with being shot for the rest of your life.

  • Famous rapper and singer Drake was in the show Degrassi, he was shot by the character Rick with a 40 caliber handgun leaving him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, (you can watch the scene here).

  • 40 is the name of Drake’s music producer, and Drakes new album is named “Nothing Was The Same”, Robb could be saying that 40 is a better producer than Drake will ever be a rapper, and after Drake’s shine goes away he will look back at 40 and think to himself “Nothing was the same”.

Referencing to his father, famous pop singer and rapper Shaggy.

When Robb was young he lived in New York, his father Shaggy committed numerous acts of infidelity, ultimately causing Robb’s mother to take her children and move away to Florida (the sea).

Robb doesn’t communicate with Shaggy because he knows what he is rapping about wouldn’t be good for Shaggy’s image, and if somebody asked Shaggy if he raised a savage (Robb), he would most likely respond with “It Wasn’t Me”, which is also the title of a famous single Shaggy released with the title It Wasn’t Me.

A reference to the classic horror movie “Psycho” where the killer, Norman Bates, would dress up in his dead mother clothes.

This is a direct shot towards A$AP Rocky, referencing the Dress-Like shirt he wore to one of his appearances on 106 & Park. Robb believes that just because Rocky was different and tried to stand out by wearing this piece that it in no way makes him hard, and in Robb’s eyes this just makes Rocky look like a “crazy ol' silly ass nigga”, this also could be referring to one of Rocky’s songs Fashion Killa.
