Arkham Asylum is a fictional insane asylum apart of the DC Comics universe (often the home of Batman’s main nemesis. Here, J.ReaL is saying that he has to rhyme as crazy as anyone who’s fucked up enough to end up in Arkham.

A flip on Snoop’s classic line.

Just so we’re clear on this whole “Louisiana equals West Coast” thing, if La Place is like Compton, Dexter’s Lab is like The Chronic, and J.ReaL Hip Hop & Dexter Beats is like Snoop & Dre, then Downtown, New Orleans is equal to Long Beach, Cali. And just like Snoop isn’t from Compton, J.ReaL isn’t originally from La Place and that’s the connection here. All of this isn’t at all geographically correct, but you guys get the point by now.

Back when Snoop first started, his full stage name included “Doggy” before the last part of his name, “Dogg”. Here, J.ReaL is explaining that if La Place is like Compton, and Dexter’s Lab is like The Chronic, then naturally he would be like Snoop (writing the raps) and Dexter Beats would be Dr. Dre (making the beats).

He’s saying that if The Chronic is the best album to come from Compton, then Dexter’s Lab would have to be the best album to come from La Place.

Another of the many West Coast to Gulf Coast comparisons in this song, J.ReaL sees the similarities between his small hometown and the home of some of the West’s favorite sons. Both places are apart of a bigger city (Compton is apart of LA; La Place is apart of N.O.), but are still looked at as separate cities at times.

Slauson Avenue is a thoroughfare in Los Angeles, California that leads to many other areas in LA including Baldwin Hills, South LA, and Inglewood. Here, J.ReaL is comparing Slauson to Metairie; likely due to both places being spots of heavy traffic that leads to other spots within their respective cities.

However, the big difference in these two places here is that Metairie is an actual town of sorts and is apart of the New Orleans Metropolitan area.

New Orleans, as well as various other locations in Louisiana, are sites for a lot of big budget Hollywood blockbusters.

Also, a bit of trivia, J.ReaL and various other 9th Galaxy members were recently extras in the upcoming 2013 film, Now You See Me. Starring Jesse Eisenburg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco.

Using the slang-form of the word “cheesed” as a double-en tantra, he’s saying that he’s smiling really hard. He’s “cheesed up” so much so, that you would assume he needed to floss away plague (a.k.a cheese).
