He’s comparing the hustlers and gangsters on the block to evil genius-like fiends and creatures. Unlike the typical, run-of-the-mill thugs. After all, “what’s a goon to a goblin”?

A very dope punchline! Here, Toy Robot is comparing the “throwing up” of gang signs to the frequent vomiting symptoms of someone who suffers from the eating disorder known as Bulimia Nervosa.

Atheists don’t believe in a higher power. So in this clever line, J.ReaL is saying that where he come from is so entirely tough that it would likely make an atheist call out the name of God in disbelief of the horrible situation people living there are in.

He’s saying that, where he comes from isn’t anything specially to look at and will likely make you turn your head in sadness. Especially after Katrina.

While J.ReaL’s mother is inside praying for a better life & hoping her sons don’t fall victim to the allure of the streets, her two eldest sons are out doing exactly what she fears.

Like many Black mothers, J.ReaL’s mother is heavily religious. And due to her and her family living in such a dangerous place (New Orleans’s lower 9th Ward), it was easy for her to be paranoid, with her family around so much “sin” and all. So this caused her to pray & hope for a better life, maybe one in the suburbs.

Luckily though, her and her family finally did move to a better area. In 2001, J.ReaL’s family relocated to a suburban area in La Place, Louisiana which is about 45 mins. away from New Orleans.

J.ReaL’s father was in the Navy. The discipline he learned from the Navy was applied when raising his children. This likely helped J.ReaL stay away from the dangerous life the streets had in store.

He’s just a kid that was stuck in the middle of all of this madness, while growing up in front of a television set. Most likely with a bowl of cereal in front him too.
