RATKING is an up and coming New York experimental hip hop group. They have opened for likes of Death Grips, Wu-Tang Clan’s the GZA, & King Krule. Don’t be surprised when they break out and make a splash because their very fresh breath approach to hip hop will most definitely catch the ears of hip hop fans and just about anybody interested in artists pushing boundaries in music.

Inner monologues before death and realizing that it’s the end. Many feel it’s too soon and that they had more of life to live, etc. Almost feels like the situation is one of the TV cliched plane is crashing and everybody reveals all of their lies and secrets scenarios.

In saying “they left us all alone”, Gambino could be noting how death is in fact a solo process (even if others die with you), and also further reputes a religious belief of some place in the afterlife. To him, death is the cousin of sleep.

Many people display a strange amount of homophobia just because of societal customs. Non-gays feel a particular amount of distain towards homosexuals only because we’ve been lead to feel superior by the media, society, authority figures, etc. that we are so.

Although these feelings may be trained and instilled in us we must take responsibility for them and realize the immorality of such actions.

Pristine is defined as being very neat, clean, and unspoiled much like characters portrayed on live action Nickelodeon programming. Which people should realize is very unrealistic.

There are countless cases of Teen Nick stars playing characters as well behaved as angels but it’s not quite the case behind the curtains.

Josh Peck was once a beloved overweight goofball but after the show ended he had an alleged cocaine problem causing him to lose a substantial amount of weight and he even admitted to being a frequent pot smoker.

Personally I don’t feel that because we see actors play these characters that we should be at all shocked when they turn to be actual human beings.

But now Blu is having expectations of success and imagining how things should be in his life, soon all these expectations are becoming more clear to him and he realizes they’re just blind lofty guesses in the end.

Boogie Down Productions was Scott La Rock (who is actually mentioned last in this song), D-Nice, and KRS-One. They were a staple in original Bronx hip hop. They were a push forward in hip-hop during the 80’s and one of the few to actually withstand beef with other artists and always come out on top.

• Self reference to the common expression a “son of a gun”, usually a toned down version of son of bitch.

• But he also puts a nice spin on it when you take it in a metaphorically sense. He is a son of gun – raised on violence and street life.
