In cartoons like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,Static Shock and Futurama Mutants are commonly shown living in the sewers.

Classic Koopas and Ninja Turtles are very similar.

To retire an instrumental in my eyes means to kill it to the point where it can’t even be rapped on anymore.

To kill something clearly means to inflict damage of some sort.
