“the moon is on my side” could mean that the moon represents the night and Nate owns the night, thus not being scared of anything now.

Alludes to death, the soul’s journey after death and eventual reincarnation.

Life is short- the present life we are in can be viewed as extremely short to the vast expanse of time but because of reincarnation.
When we die, our timeless self- our soul exits the current body and goes on a journey before heading to a period of reincarnation. The Tibetian Book of LIving and Dying speaks of this as well. As do Ayahuasca shamans.

At which point after going through the journey of ego death, we enter a new incarnation.

Very clever play on words right here, also a COUPLE double entendres!

She says,“I battle a/the bird, a harlem girl flip'em, bag'em and sell”

Jim Jones is a member of rap group The Diplomats, whose logo includes a picture of a bird

Hence “I battle the bird”…but a “Bird” is also slang for a kilo of cocaine. So when A.Z. says “a harlem girl flip em” she’s talking about Jim Jones/Diplomats, but at the same time is making a play on the term “Flipping a Bird” which means selling a kilo of cocaine.

“Bag em and sell” putting Jim Jones in a Bodybag…but also bagging the cocaine and selling it.

Sick line,The girl is not playin' with these N**gas.

She is saying that a person should not put himself on a pedastal just because they are always getting compliments.

Also, one shouldn’t get too stressed about current unfortunate situations. A person should try to stay balanced at all times, confident (but not cocky) and happy. The TI/TIP reference was a great one! It’s just not the one Monae implied.
She explains this in the “behind the scenes” video below

He’s saying how he’s too good for anyone in a clash/rap battle

On the top of the screen in Street Fighter it normally says x V y, i.e X vs (versus) Y. You versus me – nobody can save ya. D Double is saying that in a fight you (listener or anyone) verse him would be an obvious win to him.
