These lines extend the hook to establish a central metaphor in the song.

Abel’s standing in the music industry is compared to that of a virgin to sex. A virgin may endure physical pain initially with the knowledge that through putting in effort and perseverance, there will be pleasure later on.

Similarly, while The Weeknd “lost his virginity” to the music industry in releasing House of Balloons, he acknowledges he has to go through hard times to be successful. However, he’s not just pushing to make it; Abel wants the pleasure, or maximum benefits, of succeeding in the world of music, exhibited through fame and money, and he realizes he only gets one shot at doing so.

Girls don’t have to leave their boyfriends to make love to The Weeknd. Abel will pleasure these girls with both drugs and sex, regardless of their relationship status.

Abel views himself as better than the other man because taking his girl shows a dominant trait on Abel’s end. He can provide the care and pleasure that competitors simply can’t, and take girls on a boundless high or climax.

The final line is also a sensual variation of the common phrase “take your breathe away,” evoking a meaning of surprise and dramatic emotional expression.
