Marijuana is decriminalized in the Netherlands (where Amsterdam is) but is still illegal in Jamaica, but just as everywhere else, people still smoke it there a lot.

Having “beef” means having issues with someone.

Steak is probably one of the best tasting type of beef around.

So while most rappers/people want beef (just normal issues with people).

Wayne wants to go the extra-mile by having the best type of beef; a steak (a lot of issues with people).

To be twisted means to be insane, mentally ill, etc.

Obviously shoe laces cross over one another, making them twisted.

So Wayne is twisted (crazy) just like shoelaces are twisted

After Wayne implying that he is crazy, he practically says he isn’t by saying “nah fuck that”. Wayne might have done this to show that he can’t make his mind up-which could make people consider him as a crazy person.

Wayne then goes on to say “I’m twisted like the string on a boot” which has the same meaning as him being twisted like shoelaces. But after he mentions being twisted like the strings on a boot, he asks where New Orleans is. He probably asked this because he mentioned a boot and Louisiana (which New Orleans is in) is shaped like a boot on maps.

“Sick” is a term that means something is really cool, or something is really good. Obviously the highest level of sickness is death, so Wayne saying “it’s like my shit is dying” means his flow is crazy good.

Here Wayne makes it sound as if he is a track coach looking for a runner with nice legs (a lot of skill) that will help him win competitions and whatnot.

But what he really means is he sees a female with nice legs, he will let her be with him (run on his team).

Wayne saying “holla if you hear me” is Wayne trying to get everyone else that loves lean as much as him, to show that they do.

Obviously Wayne saying “I love it when she near me” is referring to when Wayne has easy access to it, and can drink it as he pleases.

Phone booths can be found on the streets (less common today due to cell phones and whatnot) and can work any hour of the day, meaning they work all day.

Wayne has a strong work ethic, and is constantly in the studio making new music, and since rap is his job, he works all day.

To snap is to go hard/crazy, which in the rap world means to rap well.

There are pants that have buttons along the legs that you button up (snap them up) and can easily throw them off by quickly un-snapping them.

To have an “A-Game” means to perform extremely well, and it could refer to anything, such as sports or music. Nicki here refers to her and Weezy having “high stats” which is Nicki bragging about all of hers and Wayne’s accomplishments, such as awards.

That’s a lot of awards for 2 people!. So yes, I’d say they are bringing their “A-Game”.

It seems as if Wayne may be making his own Freddie Krueger reference on this track.

Since Freddie kills people in their dreams, and “Weezy is that nigga you see in your dreams”, then maybe Wayne is trying to express that he feels he kills everyone in the game and everyone in the rap game completely fears him (just as Freddie is feared)

This line could have another possible meaning, though, if people are dreaming about Wayne while they are sleeping, then they could be dreaming to be him, meaning instead of people fearing him, they envy him for everything he has (fame, money etc.) so they want want to be just like him.
