It’s ironic how a bunch of wrong-doings and injustices in this world are done outta greed… yet, when we’re young – parents, teachers… even famous folks, are telling the children, “higher paying jobs are the way to go”. Point being, we’re told from a young age, “money = success”… but without greed, would poverty still exist?
I mean this study reports that; “the bottom half of the world’s population owns the same as the richest 85 people in the world” and “seven out of ten people live in countries where economic inequality has increased in the last 30 years”… plus, what about the very recent event of the oil drilling in Ecuador… simply done for “economic gain”, but will destroy lifestyles of the people, plants and animals in that region…
So is money the root of all (or at least most) evil? Basically.
I’ll come out and say it now before I rant that I’m a white guy. Sorry man i was born that way. Pretty f%$#ked up hey? I feel like Steve Martin but in reverse in the movie The Jerk “You mean I’m gonna stay this color?”. Old but funny movie you should watch it if you haven’t already. One of the best descriptions of racism that really caught my attention was an old Star Trek movie where they land on a planet where there are the rulers and the slaves. The crew can’t figure it because they all look physically the same to them. We find out later although there appearance is similar in that they are all black and white on half their body. Turns out the rulers are black and white on different sides of their bodies than the slaves. The cause of racism is the cause of racism its a cause. There’s no end to until it stops being a cause. Until no money can be made off it. Like “they” say Money is the root of all evil. I guess you have to be religious to believe that. My point is it won’t end ever it will here and there for a while but it’ll flare up somewhere else or again in the same place.
