The first line is referencing style that was pretty popular over the last decade or so. After that “phase”, he’s moving on to more high-fashion pieces and brands such as Pyrex Vision.

Bloggers are claiming Inglor doesn’t have his own “sound”, and instead is simply taking others such as Kanye West’s Yeezus sound (which was borrowed from Death Grips, anyway) and El-P.

On the last line, Inglor promises to prove to all these arrogant bloggers he’ll define the sound he uses through his music.

Instead of listening to many of his projects, Inglor feels as if people are listening to his sound and simply comparing him to earn page views. Because IBN INLGOR; NEXT KANYE WEST? is a lot more intriguing then IBN INGLOR: THE NEXT BIG CHICAGO RAPPER.

Instead, Inglor wants you to actually listen to him and formulate his own brand, instead of immediately putting himself in a demographic.

Taken from a first-person view of Ibn Inglor watching a girl (it seems someone close to him, someone he cares about), struggle to keep herself from dying in front of him, with doctors trying to help, but, by the way Inglor is describing the situation, they’ve already given up.

A sample, taken from Kanye West’s I Am A God, is simply Kanye screaming, and is supposed to represent the girl trying to stay alive. The last two bars of this verse are aimed at the doctors, who seemed to just watch her die, and could represent the “selfishness” of people who don’t want to take a risk.

And while all of these topics were ferociously spoken on during New Slaves, it’s at the end of the song, when it bursts into a beautiful, Frank Ocean-led ballad for about forty-five seconds, when Kanye says Let’s get too high, again that it becomes apparent that no matter how much Kanye preaches the anti-materialism, he himself is lost in it as well, and therefore “can’t lose” his love for product.
