They are persuading you to stay inside if you just witnessed a crime because in the hood, if you witness a crime, you’re getting killed.

Getting your wig pushed back is a clever way to say getting shot in the head. If a bullet hit you in the head and you were wearing a wig, it would fly right off. Hence the “wig pushed back”.

A reference to the hook of the song. Just because there’s more to life than getting high, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t.

KenSon is a dope MC, so if you’re a producer and you’re looking to outshine him, that’s a bad idea.

Bottom Notch is a hip hop duo out of the Bay Area of California made up of KenSon and Noah Boa.
