A reference to the Bible verse Matthew 20:37:

If you love your father or mother
more than you love me,
you are not worthy of being mine;
or if you love your
son or daughter more than me,
you are not worthy of being mine.

The verse states that to be worthy of God, you’ve got to love Him more than you love your family. Ace follows this code by stating God is his #1 priority, followed by his family.

A usual Ace Hood intro: a double entendre, referring to the fact that:

1. He (along with Weezy) are among the best rappers in the game right now.

2. The record label he is signed to.

The person was killed by stabbing and thus had multiple stab wounds. The body began to become stiff because of rigor mortis – one of the recognizable signs of death, causing the limbs of the corpse to become stiff and difficult to move.

A common theme in rap is to make your way to the top after starting with nothing. This could be Ace’s rendition of Drizzy’s Started From The Bottom.

Basically, NoCanDo is implying that people steal his style. To be swagnostic can be interpreted as having gnosis, meaning knowledge in Greek, of swag.

He could also be referring to agnosticism, the view that the existence or non-existence of any deity is unknown and possibly unknowable. Swagnostic could be seen as a portmaneu of ‘swag’ and ‘agnostic’, referring to him being a swagged out agnostic.

A play on the old saying, “You can’t walk a mile in my shoes” which could refer to the fact haters wouldn’t understand the struggle he endured to get where he is, and that they would never be able to live the lavish life that he does.

Frenchie had assumed that once he became a big time rapper, it would mean love from all. However, he received plenty of hate as well (he was named one of the most hated rappers at the end of 2012), which lead to his realization that the rap game is a dirty business. However, French has no worries.

Outchea is slang which literally means “out here” – and it basically refers to the fact that Ace & Weezy are out in the streets (because they’ve earned the respect of their hood to do so) or that they’re in the studio grinding all night in order to achieve success.

This could a reference to an old Lil Boosie song.

Ace was born in Port St. Lucie, FL but raised in Deerfield Beach, FL. He was basically raised in the hood, which might’ve contributed to his stage Ace Hood.
